Nerdy Nerd Friday: Pop Music Trivia Night Edition
Twice a month, some friends and I go to Pop Music Trivia night, an incredibly well-curated evening featuring forty questions like “What one-hit wonder took its name from a Vulcan Priestess?”1 and “What British group was best known for an MTV video where the band name, the album name, and the song title were the same?”.2
Our team is pretty awesome at all things Pop, so we tend to win prizes. A few weeks ago, third place scored two packs of Camel cigarettes, three sticks of which I’m modeling above. Since none of us are smokers, we announced that we’d be giving away our winnings and became fast friends with several participants with nicotine-stained hands. One guy even took the smokes I’d had in my ears.
