Urine is sterile, and GoGirl’s medical grade silicone is germ resistant, but the product can come into contact with bacteria during use, so take care in cleaning. It’s sturdy enough to stand up to multiple washings. (One enthusiast gleefully reported that GoGirl stood up to her dishwasher.)

Look, call me old-fashioned or OCD or some other term that begins with an O, but I have a rule about trying to keep things that I’ve peed in away from things that I put my food on.  Taking it a step further, whether it’s medical grade silicone or not, if it has directions that include phrases like “hold gently against your body to form a seal”, there’s no way it’s ever going to rub against my cereal bowls.
