Calling The Internet I-Team

Ok, I adopted a kid from the Angel Tree at the Y and—I’m saying this without any of my regularly-scheduled sarcasm—doing this is always my favorite part of December.

According to this snowflake-shaped piece of construction paper, my 9-year-old girl would like to unwrap some Spiderman and Iron Man action figures, so I’m guessing she’s pretty much the raddest ever and also that if I were elementary-age, we’d be best friends.

BUT the last item on her list is a “Gumball action figure” and I have no clue what this is. Google and Amazon searches both suggested either Gumby or a gumball machine, and I’m not convinced that either are right on.

So do any of you—especially those of you who have children—have any idea what this could be? Because knowing this kid will get what she wants for Christmas is pretty much all I want for Christmas.

That, and for someone to wet Hugh Laurie down and deliver him to my door, but that’s a wish for another day.
