We at SongParts like to believe that there exist no less than four hours of tape of Paul and Michael riffing on the “you stole my girl but let’s not let it come between us” premise and that these eight bars were the prime cut of the improv sesh. Because somehow, when Michael tells Paul gigglingly that he’s a lover, not a fighter, we believe it.
