The 13th Floor Elevators: “You’re Gonna Miss Me”
This band is both wicked entertaining and cruelly heartbreaking, all because of lead singer Roky Erickson. I highly recommend the documentary about Erickson, also called You’re Gonna Miss Me. It’s one of the “Watch Instantly” titles on Netflix.
P.S. Some of you Cusack nerds may recognize this song from the High Fidelity soundtrack. That’s where I first heard these guys too…
