“The third photo showed Allison sitting on a park bench. On her right was a man who looked a few years younger than she was. He was wearing a baseball cap pulled down low and had his hands tucked deep into the pockets of his baggy pants.

“All three of them sat close together [in the photo]. The boy had his arm around Allison Spooner’s shoulders.”

“Lena stopped, instantly recognizing [the woman] from the picture taken out of Allison’s wallet. They had all been sitting on a bench in front of the student center. The boy had his arm around Allison’s waist.”
Oh, Karin Slaughter, your copy editing is just as sloppy as the clues your killers leave behind. You write murder mysteries, so obviously for armchair detectives like me, every detail is important. That means each misstep that makes its way from your keyboard to your carefully selected Bembo typeface is thaaat much more glaring.
Also, I’m a huge nerd.
Also also, I didn’t care much for Broken, your latest novel and the one that briefly featured Jason Howell and his four arms.
